I wondered how Ethnoentomology perceives insects as pets.  For example I raise and breed Mantids as a hobby.  Am I an Ethneontomology enthusiast?  Or would I be considered a person who dabbles with Entomophagy?  What am I?

A simple Wikipedia search tells us that the ethnoentomology stuff is more related to cultural context, rather than useful purposes. Technically you are an invertebrate hobbyist. Just like with reptile hobbyist, or bird hobbyist.

I think we'd be considered entomoculturists, just like beekeeping is apiculture and bird keeping is aviculture and all that jazz.
