Hey Gongylus, cool article. It lists several species, but seems its mostly Chinese and European mantis doing the catching, however the part I found surprising was the claim that a miomantis caught a bird:eek:

 
I've seen Tenoderas catch alot of large prey but even tho  Mio's are very aggressive  I cannot vision them catching any type of bird....  S
