It is absolutly incredible how well camoflaged mantids can get. In a medow, this bug would be impossible to find by any human in the entire world.(pretty much unless you had tools) I have never seen Schizocephala bicornis before. they are really long, and they have such tiny little heads...

What about clowns with knifes coming to kill you? Would you be afraid of that? :)

Me being the noob here, but could it be some sort of mold or bacteria that infected your mantid? might have been somthin bad in the spider he ate and his organs are rejecting it scince they can't digest it.

Mantids are like walking, breathing, and eating pieces of artwork. It is so sad when they die, but you can always preserve their beauty. ;)
