    My crazy ghosts!

I love ghosts! Yours are around the same age as my little one :) Edit- Hah, in the first post I mean!

    I got my first Mantis!

Nice! I'd agree with the others on vermiculite as a bad choice for a standard substrate. I use it as a water absorption layer in my bio-enclosures, that's really what it's best for :).

Ordered my first mantis from him, a Spiny Flower! The thing was packed amazingly as everyone has said and arrived alive and healthy despite the sudden snowfall we got! he/she just ate two fruit flies! So cool!

Thanks for the response! I'll see how they do with the climbing & add extra stuff in there if needed. If it really doesn't work out I'll switch to using a deli-cup. I'll see what I can do about replacing the mesh.

I've got a couple in mind, but my top picks are either an indian flower, spiny flower or a ghost at this point :3

    ISO L3+, Various Mantids Wanted!

New hobbyist here looking to purchase her first Mantis or two. Here's a list of species that have caught my attention. Everything I've read is saying buy L3 or higher so that's what I'm aiming for! I'm from Wisconsin, USA, and my area is due for a weirdly mild next week so I figure now is the...

    Newbie here!

Hi! New to the hobby and this seemed like the best place to go. I've been stalking here for awhile before deciding to get serious and actually look into buying something! Super excited about owning a Mantid or two :D

Hey! Decided to join after looking into owning Mantises/Mantids. I know very little about housing/caring for them/the different species and am hoping to learn more from this forum ^_^
