We have an infestation of bamboo in our yard thanks to some old neighbors. I wanted to put some of it to use in my new enclosure for my ghost or giant Asian mantis.  I cut a couple of thick, short lengths and plan on letting it dry out and baking at around 200 degrees for a couple of hours...

At bugeyed.fr (not sure how I tag them?) advice I got a macro lens that clips on to my phone and the pictures are much improved.  Now to try to get my new friend, the light and my hands operating the  camera to all work together at the same time!

Welcome and so excited to see more of your work!  I just got my first ghost mantis earlier this week and have been trying to take photos with my phone.  Can’t wait to see what someone who knows what they are doing will do!

So our new ghost mantis arrived today and it was really exciting holding him/her? I believe it’s and L2 and it’s eating hydei ffs. It’s really captivating. I wasn’t prepared how cool it would be up close.    Wanted to say thanks for all the help everyone!
