I wondered how Ethnoentomology perceives insects as pets. For example I raise and breed Mantids as a hobby. Am I an Ethneontomology enthusiast? Or would I be considered a person who dabbles with Entomophagy? What am I?
When I started I spent hours and days on trying to figure out the rules or laws on keeping and trading mantids... There are no laws. You might find some snags when it comes to importing. But that's it. for species that are already in trade they are 100% legal and anything that is imported one...
