Wanted: Adult Male Budwing for Breeding

I have two adult female budwings (Parasphendale agrionina), one just molted and another that's a bit older. I'm looking for an adult male to breed them with. PM me if you have any, I'm very flexible with offers.

    Problems With Mantis Pinning

If you can pin it in a hot, dry environment, that can prevent rot. Otherwise, sometimes if a mantis dies from an infection or other illness, rather than old age, that can cause it to rot. I also slice open the abdomen, particularly on large females, and carefully remove the internal organs...

    D. lobata molting

Whoops, misread your message, I though she was an adult. Since that's not the case, she might be able to fix some of her problems if she can molt again.

    D. lobata molting

Pictures might help us get a better idea of the extent of her problems. It seems like for females, that last molt can be especially difficult. She might need help feeding. Since it's her last molt, there's not much in the way of fixing her problems, but she could still live a full life.

    Saggy bottom...

I've had a T. sinensis with the same floppy abdomen problem. I laid his container on its side so he couldn't hang upside down and make the problem worse. After a few days to a week keeping the abdomen straight, it should be strong enough to not flop over. As for the Carolina, it looks like...

    getting labels off plastic jars

I do what Sticky does. I just cut around the label and hot glue mesh for ventilation if soaking the glue off doesn't work well.

Ooth never hatched, but I got some cross section pictures

It's possible that the humidity wasn't right. My room tends to be on the dry side since I have a few species that prefer it dry and temperature's usually at 86 - 88 F. For the high humidity species and ooths, I mist them well twice a day. I read that rhombodera ooths should be at about 80%...

She laid soon after mating, but died of an infection soon after that sadly

Ooth never hatched, but I got some cross section pictures

I mated a pair of Rhombodera valida, and later the female laid an ooth. Two months came and went so I decided to take a peak inside to see if anything was developed. The eggs were black and undeveloped, so I assumed the eggs were never fertile and I took the opportunity to cut it open and take...

    cricket separation

I have a couple cricket boxes that I breed. I usually just keep each generation in their own boxes and pick out whatever size I need for feeders. As long as there's enough food and space, I haven't notice any difficulty keeping different sizes together. I have tried in the past to organized...
