I'm not sure would be based on what's available. but i have always liked smaller species it allows me to keep a bigger collection. a "boxing mantis" species would be a dream.

I purchased pair of creobroter sp, both arrived alive and well. where shipped and got here on time. He also did a good job with packing them 

You shouldn't let it get you down even the best keeper on this forum have moments where they lose mantids in there stock. It's something most say is part of the hobby and a part of learning to become a better mantid keeper

Congrats I hope you have fun raising your twigs. I had a pair I got for free with a order I made of a fellow member of the forum. And they where really nice. I love when they do the super mans pose while the shake there antennas really fast :)

In my house it was the same way with me and reptiles. My mom didn't like it at all And thought most my snakes where demons. (Hispanic mom lol) my dad didn't mind them but he would alway back up my mom. They would discourage me to not get new reptiles and to sell or "make soups or my snakes"lol...
