hey all, now i have kept 3 distinct lines of creobroter before
i think they r gemmatus, pictipennis, and apicalis
i am looking at the wings and thorax in all 3 lines, and arrows point to differences
first are creos from tammy's stock, i think they r apicalis
few pics of the male, the orange arrows point to mites on his face, others indicate differences
here is a dead pictipennis specimen
note the green on the side of thorax and the fact that there isnt an isolated dot in the middle wing ring like in apicalis, also the smaller 2 spots are more "messy"
and the male gemmatus, old pic but no little spots and very drab ring
time for females!!
female apicalis
now ironically the apicalis male has an isolated spot but female doesnt and pictipennis female has isolated spot and male doesnt
pictipennis specimen
and gemmatus, note the tiny spots are perfect circles
i hope this educated u peeps and i would like some help with this, contribute pics and imput an whatnot to help unravel this mystery...
