I'm surprised you got a mantid when you're afraid to hold them - also, it's awesome that you'll hold her, none the less, and are trying to get yourself used to it. You'll soon realize that mantids can be quite harmless, especially one as gentle and kind as the Stagmomantis limbata

when i was a kid i used to catch them all the time, but i could never hold them. it completely freaks me out. but she is a sweetie and if im going to have them im going to have to get used to them
