they started out as micro silkworms. i bought them from the silkwormshop.com

i learned when i was a kid how to raise them at school, and i figured these were a good feeder. i can feed them the silkworms as well

awesome, and is this a continuous culture or do you have to keep resupplying from that place?

this is the only supply i have bought from them .i made sure the moths mated before i fed them off. so, i have a whole bunch of fertile eggs. the only thing that i had to re-order from them after was mulberry paste, because they will only eat mulberry leaves. but with spring upon us, i know where there is a mulberry tree so i dont have to buy for awhile

Can you make a post on how to raise them? I'd definately "like" and be quite interested!!!!!

they actually make lots and lots of silk. i read that it is the saliva gland that makes it. and they use this instead of substrate to walk on. but they also poo all over it so its really gross. i saw a video where they were harvesting the cocoons to make the silk that we buy in stores.

as far as making i post i suppose i can, but ide have to take some notes and read up alittle bit to make sure i do it right
