u keep a mantid in space like that...jesus christ he must love it! haha its nice but not what id use im a practicall sorta person. i keep them in pint glasses until lv5 then from there i put them in a sweet jar
has ur mantis ever bitten you?
ive always used a ventilated container, and sprayed every three to four days on some kitchen paper on the side of the cup. my first ooth hatched, got quite a massive lot of mantids. my seccond one hatched was more prepared - only three have died so far - well what ive seen. i still have a tonne left
ok i dislike chinese because they are so nasty. africans, marbled and giant indian are what i have now and they have all been super easy. there so beatiful aswell that i dont think id ever want something like an orchid mantis
as are and as do locusts. also african mantids are well easy to keep. as are giant indian and marbled. chinese are a pain and constantly mismoult or do random things when moulting
ill use the stick method cheers :D
also is there a time period where males are useless during adult hood (breeding)?
thats what i try. ill just use the stick method.
also is there a time where male matids become
i do agree, but when you have to take them out to clean there cages, or when one crafty male escapes etc. i dont handle them because of the stress reason. its just for mating etc
but how can that be if its sitting in the gut. its basically feeding off the food eaten by the mantis - not the mantis itself so passing it through would only rid the worm., surely not?
