No. Native species do not survive our winters here in the US. There are certain species like those in the Empusa genus that diapause in Europe, but do not survive below 0 freezing temperatures. Only the ova in the ootheca are able to survive that due to their insulation.
Toxodera are extremely difficult to keep and nothing like the species commonly kept lol. They are a completely different caliber of difficulty.
To start they need a specialized diet of pretty much exclusive Lepidopterans. They need a constant stream of near 100% humidity and very high...
Subadult means molt before adult. Which instar is not a definite answer as many mantises have varying instars before reaching adulthood - each species is different.
If you buy a subadult, it will only molt once more in your care
