I have had a lifetime love of insects. Today. I use insects in my classrooms. Most of my children see only roaches and mosquitos in their lives. I love to see the looks on their faces when they see their first walking stick or mantis. I could use their reactions to describe the fight or flight reflex.

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.
