Two L4 ghost nymphs (m/f) Arrived 4 days ago, happy and healthy. Today I gave them both a cut piece of mealworm and they loved it!

However, the female walked around like this for a while before finding a spot to hang from.
Is this normal? Almost “twitchy” like movements that I haven’t seen from either one of them until this afternoon.

Temp 70-72f
Humidity 55%

I've seen my mantises do that before. It looks like she is trying to readjust her grip on the glass. As also shown in the video you provided, mantises also tend to sway back and forth to gain a sense of depth perception. They lack movable pupils so they have to move around a bit in order to see what objects are closer to them, and which ones are farther away.

i had a female ghost mantis and she would wiggle and walk around like this a lot, looks normal to me
