okay, thats good. She seems happy and has eaten a spider and cricket yesterday so I better start hunting for more! I will post a few pics of the girl when I can. Also is it likely she will lay another ooth (she laid a few in the wild) if I feed her well?

I suggest starting with either N. ventricosa or N. x ventrata. They are both very easy and can survive many beginner mistakes. I grow my ventricosa as a house plant for winter and put it outside for summer.
Hi, I just found my first ootheca, I was wondering how i should care for it until it hatches. Also how long should it take to hatch. I believe it to be tenodera. (spelling?) Here is a pic of the ooth (sorry it is so blurry) and the matis I saw near it.
