    can you buy ice?, yeah it seems like a pain if you have to go through all that trouble. can the flies completely fly?if you're just trying to move the flies from their holding container to the mantid's container, a metod a friend of mine devised works really well.if the flies are in a deli cup...

    how do you dust the feeder insects with pollen? i've got "bee pollen " capsules that i bought from a health food store and the powder doesn't seem to want to stick to crickets or roaches. any suggestions? use it as gut load?or will the mantids just eat it on thier own with out it being on an insect?

    mantids vs. arachnids

    :twisted: I saw a video once, animal planet or Discovery channel, of a mantid attacking and eating a small scorpion. not sure what mantis species or scorpion species but it was pretty amazing to see.

    Florida and the mantids.....

    that is an idea none of us, or anyone keeping any exotic species of any kind should entertain. People who release non-native species are the main reason that so many exotics are illegal to own in Florida. that's also the reason Snakeheads are illegal to own now. :evil: which is a real bummer...
