i'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but the white stuff is just water marks from spraying. it's harmless to your mantids. if it's annoying, you can always clean the tanks. they should be just fine in those tanks, but if you want something simpler you could use jars or deli cups with mesh...

nymphs should be fed daily, but when they get older you should feed them less frequently. i feed mine about 2 crickets every other day. you can tell how full they are by looking at their abdomen. if it's big you should stop feeding it for a few days. people say they can overeat until their...

an african mantis is a great beginner's mantis! that's what i have. :D he's real easy to care for and does just fine at room temperature. i feed him small crickets, mealworms, flies, and moths. i keep him in a small round kritter kepper, but i'll probably move him into a bigger terrarium...

probably. depends on how big the slots/holes are on the lid of the kritter keepers in relation to the nymphs though.

oh.. :P that's what i thought. when can you start being able to distinguish between the different african mantis species? or what are differences?

i think he's a sphodromantis lineola.
