    check out these beauties...

This could be interesting but I'm not sure how easily they will adapt to being reintroduced, perhaps not too badly as mantids are not in a "higher taxa" eg mammals birds etc and also don't learn anything from parents eg feeding and other behaviour

    Idolomantis Ooths

another thought if it was sent in an envelope it wouldn't have been put in a condition suitable for animals, pressure & temp in plane would have been wrong, this is why importing has high shipping costs, they need to be kept warm etc not sure how this would affect oothecae though

    Idolomantis Ooths

bit of a generalisation, lol :P cant say that all are I know of one good tanzanian exporter although as far as I'm aware he doesn't send things by post, only air freight which means to make it worth while you need to spend $1000-2000 since shipping is around $300 If only I had the money...

That's what I thought (EDIT: posted before I noticed there was page 2) So Christian, these are actually two species but you believe that the ones cultured are both the same species, is that right? Hierodula stalli winning by 1 vote so far though, excluding the funny people ( :P ) who voted...

I've been told in the past that these are one and the same, so what would you call them if you had/have them? I would probably opt for R.basilis but I'm not sure Hopefully I've remembered right and not made myself look like a plonker  lol EDIT: Ignore the yes/no please, no idea...
