ootheca arrived but i am worried.

Ive never heard of problems with Joe, we did have a problem with 1 of the 20 pedes I bought @ Kettering for my bro but thats been sorted How do you know its exactly the same ooths? He hasn't had ooths in stock while he was in Thailand so I guess he collected ooths there and/or imported them...

    breeeding crickets

Perhaps its a UK only thing there is a species of white mite if I remember correctly that infest cricket tanks after a few weeks if not kept pretty clean Ive never kept crix for long enough before - they end up all being eaten - so I'm only saying what I've been told

    breeeding crickets

the long pointy things are ovipositors and they are used to lay eggs crickets are very prone to getting mites so youn have to keep the tank very clean

some pics from Houston museum of science

Ive never got prices from this company in particular but people I have contacted before in Malaysia and they have been exteremely pricey e.g. $50 per Orchid Mantis Also I do know of places in the UK buying Malaysian insects from this company but they had to buy pupae at the same time as they...

    Random

I forgot abgout referals It doesn't say if you refer 10 people you get your free gift, it says you jump to the top of the list if you refer 10 people which still means you need to wait for another 10 people to join the list(unless all people you refer join the same list) Doing it this way they...

    Random

I thought about doing this before, never bothered though You have to wait for a certain number off people to join - eg xbox = 10 ppl 10 ppl spending £20 each = £200, they will get xbox cheaper and make money its all just a scam to make them money to be honest where you have joined xbox list...

    Black Widows

Sorry if I've got it wrong but I've been told before by some Americans that they don't need licences and it would be stupid to have licences I'll tell more about tiger-man after I do a search, think it was some time last year, lol, how do you hide a tiger in a flat?
  10. C

    Black Widows

I think the statistics are something like a 5% chance of death for a healthy adult from a black widow the fact that anyone in the US (except some states) can own any animal is pretty stupid in my opinion, in the UK we have the Dangerous Wild Animals Act which means you need a license which must...

some pics from Houston museum of science

i thought the yellow flower mantis was theoprobus elegans (think thats how you spell it) this is why I really don't like common names, lol

    CrossBreeding

yep, I can only agree with Jesse In almost all cases crossbreeding only ever works within the same genus Even then the result may not be what you want, I'm not sure but it may turn out like a mule( a cross between a horse and a donkey) and be infertile(cant reproduce) I would still be...

how do you tell if the ootheca is fertile

lol, Ian I guess you say this because I have posted things disccussing things you have said(perhaps I was verging on arguing although I never meant to), I have only done this because I feel people have a right to all possible information should I not have explained for people who may not know...

My Adventures in Peru (part 1)

lol, I checked that, I thought I would check both last minute bookin (leaving march 16th) and far ahead booking(leaving december 1st). Far ahead booking was around $1400 and last minute was over $6000!!! Don't think I'm using them!!!

    All foods?

leah do you have a picture of camel crickets? I don't know what they are, altough it may just be another common name for something I do know! I hate common names! lol

how do you tell if the ootheca is fertile

fair enough environmentally friendly(Im not going to argue about "environmentally friendly stuff, as frankly I can't be bothered at the moment, lol) but it can be very impractical to stitch some oothecae because of the size and because of the way the oothecae is made(eg if its foamy or spongey...

how do you tell if the ootheca is fertile

I would agree with shadownet, its most likely its fertile if its WC as an adult female, though no promises no way of telling if it is though with out cutting into the ooth which can kill some eggs

My Adventures in Peru (part 1)

lucky you. I am one of the people you briefly mention who thought Peru was mainly rainforest  Did you manage to find many inverts? Peru is quite expensive to get to from the UK im sure, I think I've looked at it before
