'Eurozoo' hygrometer's appear to be very accurate,Exo-terra's are cheap and reliable and i would imagine more easy to obtain. I use both myself and have had no problems.

Personally with chinese i would mist twice daily and use kitchen towel in the container,they can mismoult easily,but otherwise fine.

I think everyone would agree that is a superb mantid and hopefully one that will become a mainstay in the hobby...im amazed by how vivid the red colouration is on the forelegs..i wonder if it has any other use than when used in threat display? Cool.

'keeping aliens' is a great little book,ideal for beginners but sadly devoid of any colour photographs (apart from the cover) but certainly worth the asking price..'the praying mantids' is a fantastic book for advanced keepers and those interested in taking things alot further,i have found it...

Hmm..thats quite interesting as uvb is constant to most living creatures. With regards to the ghosts-have you tried an experiment with humidity at all? One would expect that most mantids would colour to their surroundings where applicable. I just dont understand why my rubrastigma were vivid...
