Moth of some sort, just simulate the conditions it was found in and wait for whatever moth is inside to come out. :P

    New Leopard Gecko

I've always just used paper towel, easy and mess free. Also, be sure to feed him good, looks a bit on the skinny side!

    Canned mealworms

I'm not sure what species of mantid you have, but you don't need to bother with flies if they are a large species. Though crickets have gotten a bad rap, they aren't THAT bad. If I had nothing but mealworms and crickets to feed my mantids, I'd pick crickets as a staple, without too much regret...

    New Leopard Gecko

Nice, I have a female albino named Penelope. Very tame and fun to handle. She ate dubia like a pig when she was growing but once she hit adult she would only eat one adult male dubia every 2 weeks or so. I was worried about this for half a year, but realized that it's pretty normal for her since...

    Canned mealworms

Does it work for yours? Dropping food in front of a mantis has never worked for me unless it was an aggressive species like T. sinensis. Still though, mealworms, especially dead and preserved, don't make very good food sources.

    Canned mealworms

Maybe, mealworms aren't the best food source to begin with and the canned are probably not as nutrious as live. The last time I bought canned insects it all molded down 2 days after opening. Cut them in half, sqeeze some juices out, and touch them to the mantid's mandibles and see if it takes it.

    Roach Diet Change?

Well, as far as roaches go, Florida is pretty damn strict about it and nearly no one will ship any here. Occasionally someone will be willing to ship discoids (Since they are already established in many areas) or other Florida natives like skunk roaches and P. nivea. I was extremely fortunate to...

    Alternate to fruit flies?

You sure you have the right species? The fruit flies we culture aren't regarded as serious pests since they don't harm live fruit. Mediterrarien fruit flies on the other hand are big pests which are the ones most people will try to get rid of or control.

    Roach Diet Change?

Meh, I wish I could actually try this. You and your lucky non-illegal roaches. > :(

    Ghost ooth

It's sounds like it wasn't humid enough. From what I know a healthy ghost ooth should produce at least 10-40 nymphs.

    Pretty upset over this

Until a study is actually done on newly hatched tenodera nutrition (Like that'll happen) you really can't say much, but you do have a point. You really can't compare using T. sinesis nymphs as feeders to using chams as feeders. As far as you importing pygmies goes, I'd like to buy some eggs off you!

    Pretty upset over this

Probably not very, but there's definately some nutrition in there or else the mantid wouldn't be walking. It's crazy if you actually want them to make up more than 1% of a chameleons diet, but a single brood of nymphs is just fine for the sake of variety, personal enjoyment, something different...

    Pretty upset over this

If only pygmy chams were as common as the brown anoles around here, I'm sure that would be fine. I feed anoles to my chickens all the time. But do you see the problem in your logic here? A single pygmy - 30$+ OR A couple hundred mantids 4$-5$ from the local hardware store, or free if you can...

    Pretty upset over this

They would, why wouldn't they? Chams can get bored with certain foods so it can at least help with that. I've been around chameleons but I don't own one, I don't see why I would ever raise mantids for my own chams considering I had any, I'd more than likely raise them for me alone just like I...
