Anyone know WHY mantids are always going for the lens of the camera? I've had many a wild mantid try with me. My guess is that the camera leads to a person and the person looks like a good thing to climb. Do mantids prefer to be as high up as they can? Like a cat does?

Excelsior?

I just had a guy at a pet store tell me it was illegal to kill and keep them here in NJ. I asked, "Says who?" He stammered. I told him he was wrong and to look it up for himself. I can be a ###### sometimes but felt slightly justified by educating a young man who works in the pet industry.

If I don't do everything I know to do too I feel horribly guilty. Which is why, and I'll say it again, I'm grateful for the advice you all have given me.
