    Could she be pregnant?

Thanks but we won't be able to put her outside because she is not indigenous to where we live, also I'm thinking the cold night air would harm her. I'm in Canada and it's getting pretty cold at night now. She was found at the airport on a shipment from China so I don't think she'll find a mate...

    Could she be pregnant?

Is there any way to tell if our wild caught Mantis is expecting??  We’ve had her two weeks. She has a ravenous appetite and has grown a big belly but she was definitely starving when we found her. What do you think?? Shes eating two crickets a day, that seems like a lot?

    Flying Mantis?

Hi we’ve only had our wild Twiggy Girl for two weeks. She’s pretty happy crawling around and turning to look at us when we talk to her, but will she ever fly with those impressive looking wings? I’m always a little bit nervous when we take her out that she might decide to take off...

    Hello from BC Canada

Hi MantisGirl13 No we have never kept a mantis before, we found her so didn’t know her species or really anything about her at all.  We are an animal loving home, all creatures great and small, so when we found her nearly dead we just had to help her.

Rescued Mantis, a few questions from beginner!

Hi there  This is Twiggy (or her other name my daughter calls her Chop Suey). My husband found her outside a couple weeks ago, she was very skinny and barely moving. We’ve never owned a Mantis before but felt compelled to try and save this interesting little creature. I’ve been hand feeding her...

    Hello from BC Canada

Hi there, Thanks for the add, we live outside Vancouver BC, Canada. I joined this group to learn how to best care for our new little family member. We found her outside, she was skinny and barely moving. Now she’s happy in her new home and has a ferocious appetite.  My daughter calls her Chop...
