Ok. I did receive my E. fasciata ooth, some nymphs were hatching while I was opening the package and now I have 3 E.fasciata nymphs. I keep the ooth warm in hope that more will hatch over the weekend and if not, 3 satisfy me just as well.
yeah, at first when I was starting the hobby I read somewhere that there may be one to four hatchings from infertile ooht, but the nymphs will be so weak that they won't live past fourth instar
I don't think they're the same species, I see that mantis in the picture has different head than the one in "previous entry" pictures and if you take a better look their thorax also differs from one another.
I'm just asking about their origins, it would be good if they weren't of european origin cause that would mean they don't need a diapause which would make keeping them easier:D
is it somehow similar to Empusa case where you have the same species, but the european one would require period of diapause and the other would not even though they're the same species?
