The color of eggs depend on the mother. If she wild type the eggs will be black. They gradually changes depending  the future color of the hatchling. The lucies and albinos will be pale. The albinos lay white eggs which will darken for wild type larvae.  You can tell bad when the fungus around...

The mesh fabric used for see through sections of dresses. It is very inexpensive. You cut a square to fit under the lid and narrow strip to climb up. Both held in place by lid. I found some in fabric section of Walmart. It was $2 US for enough to last years.

Most of it would react in minutes and be gone. Brushes do nothing to the micro-fauna and flora. Also some dilute and use as a mouth rinse. I would not recommend that either. I guess we can agree to disagree.😀

H2O2 can kill algae, mold, bacteria, spores and tiny creatures. The oxygen reacts with anything that combine with oxygen. It is very unstable so longs short term when exposed to air.  It is used to clean things. It is used to dis-infect wounds and bleach hair LOL It is not a dangerous.
