    M.religiosa nymphs are able to hatch without any cold period just after about 2-3 months of room-temperature incubation. From ooths that were put to the fridge there was no hatch at all.     I think it just wants to warm from your finger. My hierodulas sometimes do the same, mostly the small nymphs. Looks very cute. :)

    Here are the dates of my female Heteropteryx molts. Once a month till L4, and then once in two months. E(ecdysis) means molting. Born 20.01.2006 E1 04.03 E2 05.04 E3 04.07 E5 02.09 E6 27.10 E7 20.12.

    Crickets eat each other only if they have a lack of proteins in their food. I give them boiled meat, usually twice a week, and they really like it.

    My Hierodula membranacea and H.grandis nymphs often do the same, either when sitting on a flat surface or at the potplants.
