Red and Black Mantids?
Indian flowers look kind of red and black as they are growing, but when they are adults they lose that coloring.- Sarah K

I'm Lauren!
welcome! My enthusiasm for insects started when I was very young as well. I have also been known to feed wild mantids, and mist the plants in which they live when it hasn't rained for a while, because i think about how thirsty my pets get, and feel bad for them.- Sarah K

Humidity levels/spraying enclosure with water questions
I would say if she is already living on the screen porch, you should only need to give her a light mist once a day so she can drink. The humidity levels should be alright otherwise. :)- Sarah K
