Hello Please Tell me Where I can buy this awesome mantis!

That just hadn't been my experience at all. I looked through the feedback and it is usually organizational stocking issues (website integration) and shipping late. I don't think h is a "scammer."  But it doesn't hurt to try and talk to him. To each their own though....

Hello Please Tell me Where I can buy this awesome mantis!

I have had good results from Craig from UsMantis. I got all my mantises there. Go on his site (it has a chat feature), tell him you know Tim Richman from the forums, and ask if he has what you want in stock. Sometimes he doesn't update each thing if they go out of stock and I think this is what...

    Pregnant mantid not laying eggs

Exactly what I was going to say except I've also heard increasing heat can help. And make sure there are plenty of good ooth laying spots.

Going nuts trying to create a safe environment for p. walhbergii

A heat mat or a lamp would generally reduce humidity. Not sure about the temperature requirements of Spinys.

Chinese Mantis Vomiting or Pooping dark brown/black

Spraying even once per day could be too much without knowing the humidity. It may be over-humidity is the problem.

Chinese Mantis Vomiting or Pooping dark brown/black

And yeah 10 sprays a day seems like a lot. You don't want it wet. Just spray the cage walls so that it dissipates in a few hours. And check out these...

Chinese Mantis Vomiting or Pooping dark brown/black

This did happen to me once now that I think about it but the mantis only did it once or twice. Nothing came of it. Maybe high humidity/too much water makes it loose like that? Or just for no reason, like people.

Chinese Mantis Vomiting or Pooping dark brown/black

I can say this is usually not good but sometimes they recover. That sounds like a lot of humidity. I suggest you get a hygrometer (very cheap on amazon) and keep it at 65%. I doubt high humidity has anything to do with it but then I just never heard of it. Could just be diarrhea of some kind...

    My Mantis Adventure! :D

I somehow didn't notice this awesome post and I love ghosts so I thought I'd give my $0.02: So I have been raising ghosts for some months now. I also got them when they were L2/L3s. It took maybe 4 months for them to mature. Sadly one of the 5 died due to natural causes and the other 4 made it...

    Hi everyone

    Violin Mantis STILL hasn't moulted

Just be careful about leaving flies in overnight or something because a H. orientalis was knocked off her perch during her adult molt and died because of a single blue bottle fly. I enjoyed watching that fly get eaten by my lineola lol.... No one with experience with Wandering Violins can chime...

    Violin Mantis STILL hasn't moulted

Well I usually feed adults every-other day and every day for females breeding. Try speeding up the metabolism a bit by increasing the feeding schedule.  Also just keep in mind I don't know Violins; I'm just giving general advice....

    Violin Mantis STILL hasn't moulted

How much do you feed them, schedule-wise and specifically what and how much? Also, what is the temperature? I know they don't take that long to molt, but temp and feeding can slow down metabolism significantly. If you feed very little and keep the below the suggested 85-95F (30-35C) this can...
