where can i get good plants for a vivarium?

Okay so I got home today and noticed that my mantis lost a leg Durning molting, and must have fallen. He got eco earth on the wound, should I try to get it off? It's been about 8 hrs since the molt and I'm kinda scared like if the skin hardens to the eco earth(if that's even possible).

Just when I posted last night that I got my first ever L4, this morning I woke up to my other mantis in the middle of molting!! I can not believe I wittnessed it molt!  :lol: :lol: :D

:D :D :D @Sarah K @Mantis_M thanks for the advise! He is a chinese mantis, and I bought some meal worms (they are small) to feed him! And I will buy some blue bottle flys soon!

So I bought mealworms for my mantids and when I opened the container when I got home I found a creepy grey hairy one. Is it safe to feed the other ones to the mantids? 

My first ever L4 praying mantis! I have some questions about this... When should I start feeding when they molt?  Now that he's bigger what should I fees him other than fruit fly's? I will try to get a picture but it won't let me upload one currently, but I will get one!

@Zeppy44 no I did not put a sub-strata of pebbles or drainage. 

So I changed the tank up a bit. Do you think it's good? I kow it's a bit big for L3 but I hand feed every couple days.

@InvertsandOi! i would use it for bedding and put isopods in so that everything will get broken down.

Where can i get clean leaf litter that won't hurt my mantids?

@crabbypatty I use sticks outside but idk where to get good leaves. lol. and where is a good place to get fake leaves?

Is it ok to get dead leaves from outside and wash them well with hot water and put it in there enclosure?

You should make a video of you pitting the plants is as well ( if you make another tank like this)

I have heard that they are communal. Although there is a tiny chance they might eat each other, but thats usually if you don't feed them enough. If they are good on food they shouldn't cannibalize.
