Looks great! Careful with sterilite stuff though, i made an enclosure out of one, one side had mesh. I ended up loosing some stock in a matter of days, i think humidity and heat might make the plastics give off some sort of toxicity to the mantis.

Heterochaeta also guards her ooth until it dries. She will stick by her ooth for a few days before venturing off. Ive seen this everytime with a large group in a large area

She is 5.5 inches there looks to be bigger females still coming though. Shes a fun little chaeta :)

Also @ sticky The male is about 6" the female is larger.. Almost 7

Second adult today, and its a female First ooth should pop up in a month or so Chaetas made me a very happy stick mantis owner again! Very proud to have em.. Had to leave her cause i was getting ready for work when i noticed she was inflating her wings :D

Good news the injured chaeta is still kicking and actually quite healthy, i cleaned the spot off with a qtip and silver hydrosol so hopefully that will do the trick.

Hasnt been the most active place lately What are everyone's plans for this holiday Home, work, parties, gifts, mantids?? Me im having a small get together on the eve to celebrate. Toast a few drinks with friends and family and chill out like a chaeta.

My last heterochaeta female lived one year and 7 and a half months before passing. Almost doubled the age of creobroter lol. She outlived the second to last for one month and a half

Got an albino mantis like a few years back from yen saw. Never got an ID yen claimed it came from his ceiling Xp Wings were also pretty white, and was a smaller saddle wingset. Besides hymenopus this is the whitest mantis ive ever kept.

Can chaeta over eat? I see some others just as fat but they didnt bleed, what do you think couldve caused this injury, do you think the mantis will make a recovery?
