New kinds of feeders for mantises

That sounds promising! I will definitely send agentA a message to ask about how he cultured cabbage loopers. I could probably buy cabbage from the grocery store during the winter to feed the cabbage looper caterpillars! Thank you for the help.

Hierodula venosa For Sale (Available again)

Hello. I had a couple ooths of Hierodula venosa hatch out recently. They are still L1, so I will have to wait a few weeks before they turn L2 and fattened up to ship. The Hierodula venosa are $8 each, or $6 each if you buy 4 or more, or $4 if you buy 10 or more, or $3 each if you buy 20 or...

New kinds of feeders for mantises

Wow, that is a great idea. I haven't even thought about using a black light for attracting feeder moths. So far I have used a normal light at our porch to attract moths during the summer for feeding more picky mantises, like adult male Ghost mantises. I may try planting some mountain mint. I...

New kinds of feeders for mantises

Hello. I have some thoughts about new sources of food for mantises. Here are some of my un organized notes: I am in North Carolina and I have seen large evergreen oaks here that look similar to Laurel oaks. And I was wondering if those evergreen oaks would be a good source of food for...

I suspected his account here was hacked also. Although it could be that he got addicted to drugs or something that would make him do this. I wrote to him about his Orchid mantis nymphs and had the same thing where he requested Friends and family through PayPal for payment. I am sorry I didn't...

    Residue from mating.

I have had those sperm packets come out of the female or male. The sperm packets were empty when I saw them, so in those cases I think the females were fertilized. It has happened with my P. wahlbergii and Hierodula venosa.

can I ask a possibly controversial question??

Maybe mantises look like people with their front legs that look like arms? So people get attached to them?

    Brunneria borealis mating

Oh, yes... I thought you were wondering whether I identified the Brunneria in the video correctly. But I guess the person who took the video could have misidentified it also. When I first ran across this video I thought to myself "looks just like my Brunneria borealis, but there is a male so...
