    Different strains of Orchid mantises

Yes. I was able to feed crickets and roaches to Pseudocreobotra which don't take crawling foods very well since they sit and wait for prey to come to them usually. Adult female Ghost mantises readily take crickets and roaches also, although nymphs seem to not take crawling foods as well.

    Brunneria borealis mating

Yes, that is right. And I thought this had to be another species of Brunneria when I first ran across this video yesterday. But I saw that it is listed as Brunneria borealis on the video's title: Would there be possibly any other Brunneria species in the US that this could be misidentified with?

Could one raise a mantis purely through hand feeding?

If you have just a few mantises you could get by without buying feeders by feeding them insects you catch outside. Fireflies are poisonous I have read so I would avoid those. You can catch moths at a porch light during the night to feed the mantis.

    Cometmoth

I just recently got some Damon medius whipsiders and Orchid mantises from cometmoth. The tailless whipspiders are interesting looking. They will get very large. Here is a video of me opening the package:

Super glue is good for quickly sealing tarantula injuries. So super glue may work for mantids too.

Catchin’ Flies and Giving Out the Prize

Okay. I used to raise what they called "Tenodera aridifolia" in South Korea when growing up, so I was curious whether those in South Korea were the same species as the "Tenodera sinensis" or "Tenodera aridifolia sinensis" here in the US where I am now. Here on Mantodeaspeciesfile...

Could one raise a mantis purely through hand feeding?

Aaron Pauling will have a lot of Red runners available this summer probably. Red runners will live a long time and will breed without much maintenance. https://www.aaronpauling.com/collections/non-climbing-roaches/products/1000-large-rusty-reds

Could one raise a mantis purely through hand feeding?

Some species of mantises are easier to hand feed than others. The more aggressive African mantises are easier to hand feed. Watch your fingers incase they try to grab and chew on your fingers!
