@Zuzu like @GingerC said, I just eye ball it on the feeding. I like to keep the little ones plumped up, haha. Out of all the species I've owned, my Decimiana bolivari are the only ones that are picky about the number of fruit flies I put in there.

@Logan_123 I go to a place called Kirklands I think, they have fake flowers and sticks and it's really cheap. You can probably walk into any store that looks like a home decoration store and they'll have lots of different things to fill a vase with. Or go to a thrift store and they'll usually...

Hmm, maybe someone can give you a better answer but I've been advised not to do that. Some people will gather sticks and bake them to kill off any unwanted things but I'm not sure how that would work with dead leaves. Sorry, I just personally don't like using outside foliage, maybe someone else...

 Yeah, there's just something about being surrounded by nature. Feeling the sun's warmth, breathing in the fresh air, hearing water somewhere in the distance. Very soothing. I need to do this more often. My job leaves me high strung everyday. I do what I can ?

Anytime you put mantids together, even communal species, there's a chance of cannibalism. The only thing you can do to try and avoid it is to keep them well fed, but even then sometimes a mantis goes rogue, haha. @moldveien

Mine were fine with just misting. 

I used paper towel for deli cups. 

When mine was a nymph I placed him in a deli cup with a cloth lid and misted once a day. Fed fruit flies and gave him a skewer and a fake leaf to perch on. I don't use real plants inside their homes, all fake. I have orchid flowers I use for pictures, but that's it. 

I just mist mine once a day, depends on the species too though, what kind do you have?

@Mantis Man13 I would recommend using a clean paper towel, I don't even glue mine if it's gonna be on the bottom. It's best to throw out the old one.
