ive found them pretty tame to be honest and the only issues i had was with the mating part that was a bit more difficult as found the females very hyper aware even if you offered them a prey item theyd be super alert about it so putting a male within their vicinity and them locking up...

one of my favourite mantid speices...

Amazon milk frogs (Trachycephalus resinifictrix) are pretty cool but i like pacmans myself as hardy and some of the colourations/morphs out there are really cool
