What type of trees or foliage did you beat to find the mantids? And those are some nice big sized (scary sized) spiders you found as well. I'm in love with that caterpillar though. Did you keep it?

Okay never knew this before. I can hand feed them honey and I can try out those honey sticks from that store you linked. Not sure how I'm going to get them pollen though. And I saw people mentioning giving whole milk to their mantids as well. Is whole milk good for them?

Is honey and pollen good for them nutrition wise? For all species of mantids?

well first off i would say keep the adults you have now and try to keep them alive for as long as possible as for knowing if they're still around you could try searching for them and asking around other people who live in the same area as you

Thanks :) carolinas are quite beautiful but I haven't had the pleasure of having a brunners i'll have to keep my eye out for that one. And I have been planning on buying an orchid mantis 

They have such a different colour variation it's fascinating to see the differences between the same species. I'm planning on looking for more mantids  and ooths tomorrow

you still have those two females right? so luckily if you or someone in your area finds a male then you could try to start a breeding population and raise the species in captivity. but it wouldnt surprise me if pesticides and insecticides like for mosquito spraying like you mentioned played some...
