    Assistance with Brunneria Borealis

Hello! I have an L8 Brunneria Borealis (Brunner's Mantis) called Noelle That I have had since she was L1. I am running into some trouble because throughout most of her life I have been able to feed her fruit flies and moths that I've caught outside. This has been her diet for most of her young...

Assistance in sexing two Giant Rainforest Mantids

Thank you for the tip. I'll make sure to do that. I successfully mated two different Carolinas by putting the male behind the female so he could watch her walk around. Both times worked thankfully.

Got it I really appreciate it. I'll have to research on how to mate them when they reach their last Instars at some point

You say that you're new to the sexing thing but I'd say you're close to an expert! Thank you for all the comments on my Mantids! I really appreciate it.

Assistance in sexing two Giant Rainforest Mantids

Hey everybody! Back again with another sexing question. I've had two Giant Rainforest Mantids since midway in the Summer. They're from the same ooth so they've been aging at pretty much the same rate. The eldest is L6 and the sibling is L5 going on L6 any day now. I noticed recently that their...

Help with sexing Giant Shield (Rhombodera Ex.)

I'm thinking that might be right. He must be pretty big then for a male! Makes me wonder how large the females can get. He's probably about 3 1/2 inches.

Took a few more pictures tonight of the abdomen and overall body.

Help with sexing Giant Shield (Rhombodera Ex.)

Thank you everyone so much for the input. Great point. The Shield has been eating less and its abdomen has gotten more flat. It'll ignore and refuse food which leads me to believe it's nearing its molt. I just thought due to it being almost as large as my L8 Female Hierodulas that perhaps it was...

Help with sexing Giant Shield (Rhombodera Ex.)

Hello! I've been keeping Mantids for a relatively short time and I've had this shield since the start of summer. I think it's a female mostly because of its sheer size already being just about the same size as my L8 Female Giant Asians. But I wanted to see if any experts could give me a definite...
