No I haven’t, reading is one thing sadly I no longer hve the time to do. I listen to audio books while I’m either painting or sculpting or doing the dishes :) ill check it out.

The easiest but most rewarding paintings are seascapes. Very forgiving :)  and lots and lots of tutorials on youtube. Give it a try!

Amazing! Fine arts has always been one of my greatest ❤️! honestly i can’t say. I wake up at 6 am and work on the mantises for an hour before having breakfast and going to the gym. I work till 6 pm and take care of my kids till 9. I take an hour or two a day for my art and about 3 or 4 hours...

I got 6 hydeis already up and running! 6 hydei 8 melanogaster  total overkill

I hardly ever watch tv or play games, I’m crazy passionate about many many things and I always find the time to do them all. i also paint and sculpt... now im just showing off ;)

It went well, I ended up purchasing yet another two cups of melanogasters only because the 6 other cups didn’t yield flies in time! Yes I have 8 bloody cultures of melanogasters. I will never again run out. dedication or madness not sure.

I’m very much alive and doing well lol its funny I read your post right after I just finished feeding and misting and cleaning every single 112 cups of Spiny and Ghost Nymphs.  Im getting much faster at it but it still took 2 hours this morning and about an hour every day. it is soooo much...

Feeding will be tomorrow

Here’s the plan of the day will let them rest undisturbed for the next 6 hours. will then have 16 ounce cups with paper towel at the bottom and cloth lids. Will have a few popsicle sticks in each cup and mist every cup before hand. Will have 5 Ghost Nymphs in each cup. sounds like a plan?

Both Ghosts Oothecas hatched the same day!!!! i got my work cut out for me!

This is what each culture looks like. I got a small heater blowing warm air at 78 Fahrenheit. i do hope they hatch by tomorrow

For future reference, I will purchase 2 or 3 cultures a month in advance!

Well that’s what I initially thought. After the first few rounds of melanogasters, I did in fact switch them back to Hydei because I have soooo many cultures. But sadly, no. they seem to be skiddish and jump out of the way of the Hydei. I had thought that they were munching away earlier but it...

Done and done, that took a while. Good news is before I was done I can see already a few Nymphs munching away the Hydei. thanx for the great advice. I feel much better now.
