    mine are about 4cm long .. and no rows of dark spots on the top but there seems to be 2 rows of faint yellowy spots and no dark splodge on forearms !

    i agree with jay ... my Polyspilota aeruginosa was a complete nutter ... wouldnt sneak up on pray .. would go the direct route in a hurry and then jump on its meal before munching it down extreamly quickly . i even put a few maggots in her tank once and she grabbed one stuffed it in her face...

    Mold...

    i use vermiculite, never had mold grow. keeps in moisture well and i when i take out the half eaten things .. looks good as new . but people have different preferences ! but in the end as long as it keeps moisture and not toxic . its fine, even if you do have to change it out once in a while ...

    the 1st day they come out of metamorphasis they were mating with each other. climbing on each others backs and abdomens joining ! i guess i'll just have to wait and see .. if not . i'll have to buy somemore wax worms and start again ! Thanks Neil
