Hornworms would probably work because of their water content. Maybe not as a consecutive food but for a short while yeah. Pretty sure the food the caterpillars come with has toxins in it.
Snails have mucus that can stick a mantis to the walls of the enclosure/drown it or cause it to lose blood flow in a body part rendering it useless. They also can carry bacteria and a mantis will eat just about anything it can grab that moves so it’s just a obvious no to keeping them communal.
Be careful with humidity and feeders. Especially as nymphs they are very very sensitive. Keep plenty of ventilation, and keep feeders clean with clean food. Glad to see you coming back man!
Whenever they are thin. I have told you this multiple times. I’ve personally seen european mantid’s appetites so I understand why you thought you needed to feed them every day. Just be careful, they will eat themselves to death..
Remove the isopods and completely dry out the enclosure. Check all isopods for mites before adding to a new enclosure. Once you have them they are nearly impossible to get rid of. They won’t do anything to the isopods but they can be irritating in large quantities toy what isopods.
