    Cole's Mantids

Is it possible to over feed a mantis? I feed mine a couple times a day. They usually eat everything.

    Graceface's Mantis family

Just sat down and decided to read this whole thread. My, was that a good choice I made! Your mantids are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Have you ever though of keeping anything besides Orchids and Ghosts? I think that might be cool.

    Cole's Mantids

Ok thanks everyone! Also quick update: Just finished feeding. Panther ate over 15, not sure how many the Orchid did, but now her abdomen is distended so she must have ate tons, and Thistle continues to display pre-molt behavior. When can I expect to see my Thistle's colors to come out? The...

That matches up, I want a couple more opinions to confirm this suspicion. It sound about right though.

    Mantis Inspired Art

Wow! The detail is extraordinary! You've painted (metaphorically) a picture in my head! The ghosts sits in wait to snag some dinner. It's jerks his head at the first sign of movement. It anticipates the catch, tensing her muscles, flexing her claws till the the poor morsel came close enough. And...

    Cole's Mantids

My panther is a ravenous eater! I probably will keep him/her after all. My thistle on the other hand refuses to eat. It mostly slaps away it’s food. What could that mean? My Orchid eats normally. I’m worried about the Thistle though, it’s only ate one FF in the past two days.

Came very well packed and included a couple heat packs that were still warm. Ordered on Monday, got shipped on Wedsday, received on Friday. Couldn't be happier. Oh...

What is Something that Means Everything to You?

I was curious to what people's most prized possessions are. Mine would be a ring that I tied to cord that I wear around my neck. It's made of real silver, has an obsidian stone in it, and was handcrafted. I got it during a very tough phase of my life, it symbolized the glimmer (silver) of hope I...

That "blurry" backround is called bokeh in the photography world. It naturally occurs when  a camera is focusing on one smaller distinct point.
