    Here, she is on green and pink mottled artificial foliage that came in the deli cup with her when I bought her. The substrate she came with was Sphagnum moss.

    Welcome! Congrats on breeding the S. lineola. I have raised and bred Mantis religiosa, the species you can find in the wild here. I also have a Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii right now too. Feel free to add/message me if you would like to chat. I am from southern Ontario, by the way.

    All mantis species illegal (Canada)?

    I am from Ontario, Canada and I heard that only Mantis religiosa (a species that is naturalized here) and Tenodera sinensis are legal to keep. Tenodera sinensis oothecae are sold as biological pest control at a few places here.
