    Sudden fatness?

@hymenopus @izbiggs I think my mantis is about to molt although she ate this morn, I would be delighted but she has chosen a spot with the point of a leaf right below her abdomen and it could be really bad, she hasn't actually started molting yet so is there anyway I could get her to move?

    Sudden fatness?

@izbiggs okay she seems small for a female compared to other females I've seen is there a reason for this?

    Sudden fatness?

@hymenopus maybe but she's nearly due a molt so it could be that also a question: my rhombodera basalis female ( I think) is l5 how many molts do you think she still has

    Sudden fatness?

    Sudden fatness?

So I fed my mantis a cricket earlier and the mantis was looking healthily plump, about an hour later I go back to check on her and she is about 10x fatter? Why is this?

Yellowey bage (sorry for spelling) on mantis?

The thing is tomorrow we are going away and I have to take her on a 2 hour drive so I'm just hoping she molts when we get there not before!

Yellowey bage (sorry for spelling) on mantis?

Yeah that's what I mean, the underside of her abdomen seems stretched to the limit even though her last molt was only 11 days ago now

Yellowey bage (sorry for spelling) on mantis?

I don't know as she is sideways on on the side of the enclosure plus she only molted 10 days ago edit: although I fed her nothing today and one small cricket yesterday which isn't that much for an l5 female yet she looks like she's going to explode she's so obese! I don't know why

Yellowey bage (sorry for spelling) on mantis?

Ok so my rhombodera basalis has this kind of yellowey bage (sorry for the spelling) running along the side of her body, just above the side of the abdomen and it's extremely thin and just above the abdomen on the side of her wing bud things (she's l5) I'm a worrier so it's probably nothing but...

Cricket dilemma and feeding advice *URGENT*

Hi the eyes have gone back to normal now and there is no vomit in the enclosure, I'm not sure if she ate the food I put in yesterday because I couldn't find it and she looks plump, I'll try her on a (well fed) cricket today and see how it goes I'm feeling quite reassured now thankyou very much
