    What are these hairy worms?

Thats probably what I would do to. Its not worth the risk just in the off chance that they are carrying something harmful that they could give to your mantis

    Missmolt

One of my Chinese Mantises mismolted last night. Its to late to try to do anything to fix it but the only things that got messed up are her two back legs so she should still be able to eat fine and she can still move she just kinda crawls a bit but her climbing ability does seem to be a little...

    What are these hairy worms?

or this Maybe you could put some of the worms in a separate container with some food and see what they turn into but getting some new crickets might be the safest thing to do but I dont think they pose a threat to your pets but then again they may not be clean.

    What are these hairy worms?

Are there more than one kind of Carpet beetle or some similar pest When I google them some things that look similar to your worms like this one

    What are these hairy worms?

LoL well that was my best guess.

    What are these hairy worms?

The more I look at them the more they look like carpet beetle larvae to me but Im probably wrong.

    What are these hairy worms?

They look kinda like carpet beetle larva but at the same time they dont...Im not sure what those are but I wouldn't think they would make the crickets unsafe unless they are some kind of parasite but maybe to be safe you could get new crickets or clean them and move them to a different box and...

Lots of dead fruit flies in the culture

As long as you still have enough flies to feed with it shouldn't be a problem but poking more holes could help but removing flies when there are a lot in at once will help for sure (just remember you cant release them outside). Generally speaking most people dont need the hundreds of flies that...

    Honduran Mantis

I dont think so the ones I found where in Honduras so they probably need a pretty high temperature and humidity (I found then during the rainy season) I dont know where else they can be found but a good chunk of Honduras is heavily plagued by drug cartels(mostly the north) and even in the south...

How long, generally speaking, can a fly/moth survive in a deli cup?

For moths you might could put sugar water in a bottle cap that might give it something to eat... maybe Im not sure maybe you could put a piece of watermelon in there and see of it eats that or maybe like an apple slice. As for how long it will live a few days unless you can find something to...

Lots of dead fruit flies in the culture

When a culture has a lot of flies in it CO2 can build up and kill them. If you have a huge wave of flies that die all at once it may have been CO2 but the amount of dead in that picture dosent really look like enough to cause that kind of problem. The best way to prevent CO2 deaths (assuming...

    Honduran Mantis

I went to Honduras this summer to build a house and while I was there I climbed to the top of this small mountain and at the top I found some praying mantises. I had been looking around the whole week I was there for cool insects and such and had not found much until I found them. I was...

Some super-novice questions about hatching a tenodera sinensis ooth

Its fine to release them I think because they already are all over the place like they said. They cant make it past winter but the eggs do (at least where I live) which is why they have become invasive. I live in North Carolina and 99.9 percent of the time when you find a mantis outside its a...
