i only have one male. and its defently not the male, he mounts within 10 mins. its the female, she pushes him off everytime.

i went away for 2 days and came back and half of my 2nd instar creobroter gemmatus nymphs had mismoulted and died when moulting to 3rd instar. i don't get what i did wrong, i misted daily and put in 2 fruit flies daily (unless there was some food left). i'm guessing the fruit flies knocked...

why isn't my creobroter ready? i don't understand :(

i just got told one the UKMF 'Flower mantids (Creobroter, Pseudocreobotra) females often hate being mounted by the male. Sometimes you have to be brave and let them scuffle (I presume you intervened?) as the male will sometimes be able to keep himself out of the way until she chills.' is this true?

so yeah, trying to mate my creobroter gemmatus. both have been adult for 6 weeks. both fed up, females refusing food. he mounts and she attacks him. i've tryed about 5 times over the space of a week and the same thing happens everytime. i'm getting so fed up of failing to mate mantids. what...

what should i get, a taylor or martin? im planning on spending about £1000. need to save up first though :lol:

another random question: whats the largest and the smallest species and how big do they grow?

my female is sick :( theres brown stuff on top of her enclosure. should i wait until shes better before i try mating again?
