Cool! You should keep some sticks in there enclosure. They like to lay there egg masses on the very ends. The L1 nymphs have no problems taking D. melanogaster.

I can ship them to you. They should make the trip fine. Just let me make sure my mom did not destroy them by accident? People tend to touch things, and being they are frozen. Legs snap off easy. When this girl passes she will be yours too.

    Molting.

All you can do is pray to the great mantis god, and hope for the best. But in all reality it happens to all of us from time to time.

I hope so that would be cool. I was almost tempted to try and mate mother and son just for sick kicks, but she is so old. I figured it would be a waste.

Awesome pics, and video. I breed this species for a few years. The L1 nymphs are crazy small. D. melanogaster is almost double in size. I kept 10 of them communal without any cannibalism. A whole lot of mating took place tho. These guys are forever mating. Very powerful for there size...

    Finally getting busy! D. dessicata

There mom is still alive. These guys have a crazy long life span. She was mated twice and only laid one fertile ooth. All the rest were duds.

    My last Parymenopus davisonii

I think i have a pair in my moms freezer already for pinning. They are yours. I don't do the whole pinning thing. I kept them for those who do. ;) Oh and if your wondering why they are at my moms? Well i don't live with my mom so there is no fear of being thrown out. I live with my girl, so...
