It should work as long as there is a medium for the flies to lay their eggs. I've done the same thing with petsmart hydei and its worked for me. I just put some flies into a new culture and they did the rest lol. Good Luck!

Bought a few sexed pairs from Green Oasis and some little nymphs and when they arrived they were all males. I emailed her about this problem and sent pics and she sent out the females that I needed the next week for free. So even if she messes up you can trust that the problem will be fixed...
