    Yea, they love spiders. I have an immense amount of spiders around my house, and I constantly feed them to my mantids. They love the spiders, they eat the legs and all.

    Lol when I put mine in jars, they always want to grab the lip of the jar, they don't like going in. So I have found a solution to that as well ;) just get a piece of bounty, and drop it over the mantis and lid of the jar, it is very lightweight so it does not hurt the mantids

    I had a cricket that I found on its back with a leg twitching. Full grown cricket, did not mash it, or molest it in any way. My mantis grabbed that sucker. :D

    Not me, If I nudge them from behind they flare up their wings and get in their "fighting stance" and blowing works, but it's not very effective, sometimes they just chill when I blow on them :P

    Lol thats strange, maybe it is specific to only the Chinese mantids. It works on every single one of mine. Try it again, put your hand above and brush back as if you were petting it. Make sure it sees your hand when it looks up

    That is pretty cool, I have never tried feeding my mantids something that was dead thus far. I keep my cultures up! ;)
