If you find that Plexiglas breaks on you again, use Lexan. It will not break, trust me. Lexan is a very durable material and bends instead of cracking/breaking.

Very creative. :) Wish I had some room for some shelves like that.

    Enclosure Pics

Looks great. If you add a lot more sticks, it will be even better. Make sure you have plenty of bluebottles in there, its a big cage. ;)

    Schizocephala bicornis

Hmmmm, been a long time since I posted pics! I now have a lovely adult female. :D The male is a ways behind, probably 2-3 sheds. <_< Never-the-less, the female is simply amazing! Notice the purple on the legs. :) Amazing! They stand very tall! Very long...

    Are water crystals safe?

You will not need to use those. Violins don't need a whole lot of humidity. Just mist them a few times a week and they will be fine. ;)

    ja-da-bait

Ordered from them again. Fast shipping!! Very pleased with the hatch rates (near 100%) and the flies are a different species, a little larger. They do take a few days longer to hatch, but I'm willing to wait because there is a noticeable size difference from regular bluebottles. Will buy...

    Toxodera sp.

I love the way she positions her reportorial arms when trying to catch the butterfly!

    Sybilla pretiosa

As mentioned earlier, they are fragile. So, if you buy any, buy as many as you can. When young, mist often. You can decrease misting as they get older. They can be kept together, but if you don't have a whole lot, I wouldn't chance it. They grow very very slow. It takes close to a year to...

    Sybilla pretiosa

They are indeed very fragile. I find the young nymphs to be rather weak compared to most. As they grow, they become a lot easier.

    Zoe's First Nymphs

You probably want to put a folded paper towel on the bottom (to hold moisture and prevent drowning) and to put a few sticks in there. They make all the difference. ;)

Got my rather large order of fly pupae rather promptly. Very pleased. I can see my Empusa and Gongylus nymphs rubbing their hands together already!

Got my side of a trade with her today. Very pleased to have received a rather rare/desired species. :)
