thanks for the post. i just bought it just moments ago. it looked like a fun project it is very easily customizable for screen replacement. only problem i saw are the top lids, dont really seal tightly together where they meet. a big enough mantis prob cant escape but feeder flys may

    Bad Back Legs after molting

i was able to watch my Chinese Mantis in the middle molting. everything looked good and i was very careful in not banging onto my table. i left and when i came back, i found one back leg curved. the other leg is straight but he seems to still not want to land it not sure why it happened, it...

beginner advice: low vs high land

i always wanted a maxima, i fear i may not have space for them though. i live in so cal also have you tried growing any of yours year round outside? i'm debating to try it to see if it would work. esp Miranda and Deroose hybrids. since we never really get to many lows below 50s in Winter.

    Nepethenes ‘Miranda’

have you tried sundews? they may be more affective for fruit fliies. though you would be limited in growing them where they get bright light from the window... i also have a N. miranda, i hardly ever see many fruit flies in them when i trim off their dead pitchers

    Garden Caught Mantis ID

Not sure if its cause he's new, but this one seems to be more curious of his surrounds more and sway walks more in comparison to my Chinese which usually just like to dart out and run anywhere they get the chance lol When I was taking photos of this guy he looks at the lens and jumps to it lol

    Keeping flytraps

for fly traps, you dont need clear domes to keep them healthy. its a huge myth that they need them. they'll be much better in full sun in a standing tray of water outside with no terrarium. cobraplant.com is my favorite site for caresheets. i've been buying from them for years also. they also...
